That's what you might be thinking. Why is this guy - an aerospace engineer and CFD guy, a guy who's been with Cadence only six weeks, a guy who admittedly knows nothing about electricity except that it hurts when you touch it - posting in the Signal and Power Integrity blog?
It would be unsatisfactory for me to reply "because someone suggested I post here." Instead I'll say that computational fluid dynamics is a critical component of Intelligent System Design and can contribute not only to better understanding of the thermal environment of PCB/IC packaging but also to the larger systems into which those packages are embedded. Things like planes, trains, and automobiles - and a lot more.
