System Analysis Knowledge Bytes: A Quick Overview of Task Assistant in Clarity 3D Workbench

The System Analysis Knowledge Bytes blog series explores the capabilities and potential of the System Analysis tools offered by Cadence®. In addition to providing insight into the useful features and enhancements in this area, this series aims to broadcast the views of different bloggers and experts, who share their knowledge and experience on all things related to System Analysis.

Imagine not being able to find the fastest route to your destination while enjoying a road trip in an old-school car! What would you do in such a situation? You are quite helpless, right? Now, imagine getting stuck in the same situation, but in this case, your car has a Satellite Navigation (SatNav) system installed. With a SatNav, you can find the fastest route with the least traffic in a jiffy. A SatNav system makes our lives much easier when we are visiting unknown places.

In Clarity 3D Workbench, we have introduced a similar navigation system in the Set Up Computer Resources dialog box to make your life much easier. This navigation system is called the task assistant.

What is Clarity Task Assistant?

The task assistant is an in-tool help access medium that offers quick resolutions to the most relevant getting started questions for getting started. It contains specially designed help pages that provide a quick overview in the form of task-based topics. The help pages are short and provide crisp information. So, whether you’re a novice or an expert user of Clarity 3D Workbench, task assistant will help you get the work done faster. Here’s a list of typical “getting started” questions for which you can find answers via the task assistant:

  • How do I run the simulation on a local computer on both Windows and Linux?
  • How do I distribute a simulation run from a Windows computer to one or multiple Linux servers?
  • How do I distribute a simulation run on a server farm?
  • How do I distribute a simulation on the Cadence Cloud server?
  • How do I set up the Resources on Multiple Linux Computers using SSH or RSH?
