Export to .msh fluent format

Hello,

I recently acquired a student license for Omnis and am working on only rotor simulations. I have generated the mesh and when I export it, I cannot see the fluent .msh file format. Could someone help me with that? I used that option in the old version of Autogrid with IGG. But is there an option like that in the new OMNIS5.2?

Thanks.

Hi, this export is not available in Omnis. However you can export the trb from Omnis to Autogrid and perform the export over there. You can also export the CGNS from Omnis.

Sorry for the late reply. You mean to export the *.trb file into Autogrid module in Omnis?

If yes, I tried that but still cannot find that option. I have the same options as I had in Omnis export mesh.

Hi, I meant that you can export the trb to Autogrid5 (not the one in Omnis or Fidelity). From there, you can open the trb and export the msh file.

In Omnis and Fidelity we don't have yet the export option. Regarding the CGNS, you can see that you can export the CGNS project, but please check that your solve can use it.

Oh, okay. Thank you for clarifying it. I thought Autogrid5 was already included in Omnis.

I don't have autogrid5. I am just using OMNIS now. Do you know if there is a way to get Autogrid5 still?

Concerning the CGNS file, since it is a project file, I am not able to use it in my solver, I need to extract just the mesh out of it, so I can convert it into a format that my solver can read. So I am currently stuck in both the ends.

I'm not sure if with your license you can use Autogrid5 and Omnis. Colinda can you help us with this, please?

I confirm that for the moment the free student license still gives access to AutoGrid5, the predecessor of Omnis AutoGrid.

The installation files can be requested at academic-cfd@cadence.com with a justification of need, on an exceptional basis.
