    Hi,

Is it a Pointwise license or Fidelity license? If it's a Fidelity license you can indeed enter the hostname or IP (and the port number if configured by your university) in the Admin Tool.

    Best regards,
    Colinda

Hey, then it has to be a fidelity license. So in Admin tool /client side I typed the ip and port number. And under license server there it says: "The daemon(s) "Numeca" on the license server .. are down...

In that case it may be good to check with the Admin Tool on the license server whether it is effectively running. If you don't have access to the Admin Tool on the license server of your university, you may need to ask your system administrator for help. The administrator may run the Admin Tool diagnostics on the license server to check what's wrong.

Is it possible to ping the server using that IP address and port number? Is a lmgrd process running on the license server? Is the cadence license daemon running on the license server? It would be important to know also whether the lmgrd and cadence daemon are both blocked each by a specific port number or only the lmgrd daemon is assigned a port number.

Which OS version are you running?

Okay, i will ask the Administrator. But he told me, that his server is reachable and yes it was possible to ping the adress. Otherwise is there an option for the students ( student licence) to mix Fluids ? Usually i use Omnis 5.2 and i installed  fine/ open with TabGen, but i think the student license is not enaugh for TabGen. It doesnt open

The free student license indeed does not give access to TabGen. With the license a support access is provided to your university so if they can't help you to get access to the university license, I would recommend them to contact our support team. You may want to ask them whether they have fixed a port number for the lmgrd daemon only or also for the vendor daemon. That is important for you to access it correctly.
