Hey,

OMNIS V5.2 worked first but now it asks me for the licence activation key when starting.

The diagnostic tool ( i wanted to upload a picturce, but it is not working) says i have problems with:

Licecse server reachable..failed

Automatic server startup...failed

What do i have to do?

I need the program for the challage #1

    Hi Basti3009,

not sure, if you have tried already to follow the instructions from the manual. In most of the cases it works, if you do each step. In case one step does not work, it also a bit easier to understand at which step the problem occur.

When you open Omnis (I assume under Windows) you get the screen with the option to provide an actvation key or to provide a license serevr name. As currently license files are provided, you need to go for the option license server name. With the license file you basically defined a license server, which (I assume) is running on your local computer. The client (Omnis 5.2) is then accessing the license server on your computer. If everything on the license server side is setup correctly, you just need to provide the name of your computer in the field license server name.

If that is not working I suggest you have a look to the manual. You can open the manual by pressing F1 in Omnis. This should also work, even if you have the activation screen. Then go to the following section:

Follow the insctructions from start to the end and let us know, if you struggle at one step.

Best regards and good luck for the challenge
    Manuel

    Hi Basti3009,

is the computer DESKTOP-8A5O01Q part of a larger IT infrastructure e.g. the institute of a university or is it your private computer? I need to understand whether Windows groups policies are potentially applied or not.

Can you please have a look to your registry. Please navigate there to:

    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> SOFTWARE -> Flexl, License Manager
    • Select the FLEXlm License Manager
    • What values do you have for NUMECA_LICENSE_FILE?

    Best regards
    Manuel
