Problem with activating OMNIS in Admin Tool

Hey,

I have the problem that I can't activate OMNIS via the license file that was attached to my email. It always fails and then the error "License Server Error" pops up. It says: "Could not connect to the server @... but the ping succeeded. Reason: the daemon(s) ['numeca'] are down on the server @... "

I saw a post with a similar problem but it didn't work out in my case.

Could you please have a look at the License server tab under License management in the Admin Tool? What is the status of the license server indicated there? Did you run the Diagnostics in the Admin tool?
Which is the OS version you are using? Is the numeca daemon running on the computer?

The license server are down and there is a warning triangle in the in the "Reachable" section. In the Diagnostics, there is an error with "NUMECA activation server reachable" and "Windows Registry". I'm using Windows 10. What is the numeca daemon?

Ok, if you are running under Windows you can have a look in the Windows taskmanager and see in the Details tab whether lmgrd is running and numeca as well? You can also send an email to academic-cfd@cadence.com to ask to check whether the license is correct. Normally it is but just to be sure.
