Hello Everyone,

my software had some problems. I did challenge 1 without a problem but now I can't open my software. Please check below Image.

Thank you.

    Hi Surya,

the screen shot you sent us indicate that the license server on your computer is running. It typically needs around 2 minutes after a restart until the license server is running. If you open Omnis before, you won't get a license. Did you check that after this time frame Omnis is still not starting? For the activation you need to choose option License server name. Here you need to provide the name of the license server. As I assume that the license server is your computer, it would be the name of your computer.

    Best regards
    Manuel

I download the license file again and follow the installation process again (as mentioned is the "Cadence CFD free student version" mail) and now it's working. Thank you.

    Hi Surya,

thank you for the update. I'm glad it is running now again. I did a bit of research: Did you maybe install Windows updates. In some cases (depending on the type of update), the license needs to be activated again.

    Best regards
    Manuel

    Hi Manuel,

I just wanted to let you or anyone who has a similar problem know, that i had the same problem earlier today which got solved by re-activating the license in the Admin Tool as you suggested. The Problem was caused when Omnis crashed/stopped responding, so i had to close Omnis.exe through the Windows Task-Manager. After opening Omnis again i was required to enter an activation key/license server name as in Surya's first screenshot, also if i remember correctly i additionally had a license error message below the "license server name" field.

    Best regards
