Epsilon in initial solution and boundary condition

MaxiWei

Hi all,

is it correct that the value of epsilon change with the factor 10 between the initital soluttion and the boundary conditions?

Or is only the value of 0.7547 m2 /s3 correct? I think it's a typing error, but I just want to make sure. :)

Thank you very much!

Best regards

Max

    Hi Max,

this difference is actually intended. The final correct value is set for the inlet boundary condition. For the initialisations it is advantageous for the convergenc, if 1/10 of the expected value for epsilon is set. That is a difference to all other quantities for the initial solution.

Good you are asking! We will note down to put a comment there for the next round of the CFD Online Course.

    Best regards
    Manuel
