Error : Storage error, see vlog and contact developper

Hi,

I've got an error, which occures generally, not specific to a certain challenge...

After starting the mesh generation, everything is working fine, but instead of finishing the generation, a error message pops up:

This also happens in Projects, where the mesh was already generated and I tried to run a simulation.

I already tried reinstalling OMNIS and the Debug verbosity log doesn't log anything useful.

If anybody could tell me where to find the vlog or what this error message is referring to, I would be really grateful.

Kind regards Philip

    Hi Philip,

below are some checks based on my assumptions:

    • Are you saving your project on a local drive, a network attached storage or a usb attached storage? Could you try to work on your local storage please?
    • Do you have spaces, specical characters or things like ä/ö/ü/é... as part of your working directory, in which you save your project? If so, please try without that.
    • Is the total file path very long (e.g. do you have 16 sub-folders with very long names)? This potentially could also cause a problem.
    • Please make all tests in serial mode, as this removes 1 uncertainity (the paralelisation, with all its MPI processes etc.).

Please let me know your findings.

    Best regards
    Manuel
