Unwanted boundary node move after running elliptical grid solver

Hi all, 

I'm running into an issue where the boundary nodes of a connector will tend to 'kink' at the edges of two domain after running the elliptical solver to improve the mesh quality. As these boundaries are inlets/outlets, I need all cells to be normal to the wall for obvious reasons. I am keeping the boundary layer mesh separate from the outer domain for greater control.

The tweak tool will only allow internal domain nodes to me shifted around, so I can't manually move the connector node.

Are there any suggestions as to what I can to or what I am doing wrong?

    I am assuming you split this domain in the picture after you ran the elliptic solver that created the "kink".  I have seen this when trying to enforce orthogonality on very high aspect ratio cells.  If you are running with the Hilgenstock boundary control function on the (inlet) face and you still have this issue, try turning the control off on that face (Grid < Solve, Face Attributes tab, Type dropdown to "None") and it will naturally align perpendicular based on the Thomas-Middlecoff interior control function.
