boundary condition (inlet)

Hey together, iam using Omnis/ turbo machinery applet. Iam investigating 15 Stators in the turbine. In the following picture you see alpha over the azimuthal angle. Alpha is the velocity angle or also the flow angle in blade to blade surface. Iam simulating the green graphic. So the stator is working under a huge off-design incidence angle range of  +- 20°. So to define the angle, i choosed in inlet/cylindrical/total quantities imposed / angle from axial direction ( Vz extrapolated ) and put there the Profile in arct (Vt/Vz). I think this is correct but wanted to be sure,

greetings Hussein

Dear Hussein, thank you for reaching out. I can confirm that your inlet conditions are right and represent well the distortion you wanted to impose. If you want to be sure it has been correctly applied, you can compute a few iterations and check these quantities at the inlet section with the post processing tools.

Do not forget to make sure the unit is correct, meaning that you specify 'degrees' in fidelity if your profile is in degrees.

    Best regards,

    Sébastien B.
