change the working directory path

Question

Hey together, 
 in the moment iam using the local hard disk of my computer. I would like to change permanently the working directory path to an external hard disk. How can I do that ? Iam using windows 10 and Omnis 5.2,

Hi Hussein, 
 The OpenLabs module in Omnis 5.2 is included in the free student license provided that the system requirements for the use of OpenLabs are met of course. 
 I'm not so sure having the .numeca folder on an external hard drive is a good idea to do as the speed of access is less than on a local disk. I would not recommend it. Saving your project files on an external hard drive on the other hand, is something I think should be ok. It may just take longer for reading and writing to disk.

OpenLabs is part of Omnis. 
 You can find the information how to access it in the Omnis 5.2 documentation under: 
 OMNIS tools > Simulation > Optional models > OpenLabs > How to use OpenLabs 
 Make sure to have a compiler installed (Microsoft Visual Studio on Windows or GNU C and C++ compiler (g++) on Linux). 
 Then just select a domain in the tree and right-click to select "Edit labs".
