Export full annulus mesh in Turbo library

aescudero

Dear all,

I am following the multistage axial compressor tutorial with the student license and I can just mesh one row, so I deleted the other two rows and I could mesh it. After that, I would like to export the full-annulus mesh as CGNS project, but when I export it, only one blade is exported. Is it possible to export the full annulus mesh of one row?

Thank you very much,

Alvaro

Hi Alvaro, if you want to export the full annulus, you need to generate the mesh for the 360 degrees. Depending if you are on Autogrid or Fidelity, there is an option that makes you repeat the mesh for as many blade passages as you want. You can then export the real CGNS.

Hi domen, thank you for your answer.

I am using turbo and, before the mesh is exported, I click to show repetition. Is this option the one that you are referring? If not, could you please explain where to find this option?

sure: in Autogrid5, you can find the settings in row properties. Select the number of meshed passages and the mesh will be repeated with the number of passages you want.
