I have this simulation file that i what to open with FINE/turbo but when i try to open it says that it cannot open the file i click OK and then this appears:

I am almost certain that all the files are present. This file is more than one year old. Could this be the problem? What do I do?

Regards,

This message typically appears when specific files are missing from the project directory. Please check the ".iec" file and the "_mesh" directory you saved.  Another reason is that you should not have saved correctly.

Thank you for your reply. I believe that the problem is in the mesh file because if I try to open it with AutoGrid it says that the grid file does not exist,

But what I want is to get access to the simulation setup. I don't care about the mesh or the simulation results. I just want to know how the simulation is set up.

    Is this possible?

Hi, I mainly use fidelity, but you could try open the .iec file in a text editor. A lot if information is contained in that file, including boundary conditions (I think).

Furthermore, there is a link to the GRID_FILE. You can create a new project to check how it should look like if there is no grid file available. Then you can adjust your old iec file accordingly.

    Edit:

Oh, one more thing. It looks like that there are some special characters contained in your path (accent marks over your letters). Remove them and try to open the iec or the grid file again. (Also, I personally never use white spaces in folder names, I prefer underscores "_". Try to keep the names and paths as simple as possible)

Thank you very much. I also don't use white spaces in folder names but this simulation is not from me.

I will try what you told me.

    Thank you

You were right. The problem as just the name of the folder.

    Thank you
