My computer was recently re-loaded with Windows 7 64-bit. I installed Design Entry 16.3 and had been working with it for a week or two. A couple of days ago I tried to start Design Entry from the start menu. I get the normal splash screen, but then the main window never appears. "Allegro Design Entry CIS" shows up on the task bar, but when I click on it, there is no window. When I hover the pointer over the task bar button, I don't see the normal "window preview" either. I tried re-installing the software and installing the hotfix. Other programs work just fine so it is isolated to Design Entry.
Has anyone experienced this?
You should be the latest 16.3 hotfix and apply it as soon as possible.
Close any Capture sessions and / or Task Manager any capture.exe processes. Then try deleting / renaming the current Capture.ini, usually in the tools\capture directory of the installation and changing the registry, start regedit.exe and locate the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\OrCAD\CaptureWorkspace key, delete this key (all the subkeys attached to it will also be removed) Close regedit, try starting Capture again.
