An error occurred while configuring my user preferences in PCB EDitor. A 24e7_appcompat.txt was generated during the occurence, but then after closing the error message it disappeared. Then i couldn't open the preferences file. Please advise. Thanks, frisco
What version of PCB Editor are you using? I'm assuming this happened from the Setup > User Preferences GUI? What variable did you change? Here are a couple solutions on SourceLink that may be helpful: 1843042 - User Preferences Editor fails to find the preferences files 11157524 - No preferences file found error when invoking the User Preferences Editor Have you edited your GLOBAL env file found at: $CDSROOT\share\pcb/text? You should NEVER edit this file. You should only edit your LOCAL env file found in the PCBENV directory. This directory is automatically created based off the value of your HOME variable. You could also temporarily rename this directory to see if this is causing the problem and go from there. Let us know what you find out. Thanks!
