Is there a way to create a list of either footprint symbols in PCB Editor or schematic symbols inCapture ?( With out having to type them in one at a time )
For footprint symbols, you can search the footprint directory for *.dra. This will give you a list of all the dra files in your library. You can then copy this list, and paste it into the word processor of your choice.For the Capture schematic symbols, the process is a little more complex. Within Capture, open the library, and then sue ALT print screen. Then open your word processor and paste the screen capture. Open up a command prompt, and make sure you are in Quick Edit mode RMC on CMD blue banner at top then choose Properties > Options Tab > "Quick Edit Mode"1, CD to your Footprint library2, list the directory by C:\>dir *.dra /bHighlight them and copy and paste into a file, you will get comp1.dra etc.. if you then need just the name do a serach and replace .draFind - *.draReplace with nothing..
