Hi All, Does anyone here use the "SKILL Development toolbox". Does it really help in writing skill programs. Besides this toolbox are there other software that would aid in Skill development. May I know the cost for the license for this toolbox. Currently I just use a text editor (UltraEdit-32). thanks, newbie
I use (gvim as an editor. It comes with a skill mode to highlight statements, comments, etc. and makes it easier to see what's going on. If you already know unix "vi" it is a clone.
That link skould have been GVIM. Sorry for the Friday morning jitters
Thanks grumpy I'll switch over to GVIM
Is this GVM for MS-window users?
Vim will run under unix (Red Hat, Debian, IRIX, Solaris, and HPUX), MSDOS/Windows, Amiga, OS/2, Mac OS7-9, Mac OSX, Agenda, Sharp Zaurus, MS Windows CE, Open VMS, RISC OS, and Morph OS. You can also obtain the source code and compile it yourself on other platforms...
Hi, I'm using CRedit (http://www.praven3.com/credit/). It's a quite nice configurable editor and I've built the SKILL language highlighting and keywork list. But you might consider of a different Editor with function folding (collapse/expand an (...) structure) like Notepad++ (http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/about.php). The SKILLdev Toolbox is only working on a Unix station, it will not work in Windows at all. Although there are some functions available in Windows (sklint), most is only accessable in Unix. Even Linux up to 15.2 has the SkillDev Toolbox broken. Hopefully it's going to get functional in 15.5.1 soon. Tobias
