One more problem I would like to discuss here. When I am trying to simulate my VHDL design through VHDL toolbox in virtuoso IC6.1.2, I am getting this error, "executable 'ncsim' is not found in your UNIX path. You need to set your $PATH environment variable properly to enable this functionality", When I searched for this executable in my /usr/local/cds/, i dint get any results for ncsim. what is ncsim & why it is necessary ? Is there any other executable that is been used instead of this, which I can use to link ?
The 'ncsim' binary is the simulator used for VHDL and Verilog language. It can be installed from an "IUS" (Incisive Unified Simulator) stream, e.g. IUS6, IUS81 or IUS82. This is not only a simulator but also a parser. In the IC5141 stream the parser (and the simulator too I think) was part of the IC5141 stream, but for IC61x it is installed separately.

Thank you very much, I installed IUS package, now the simulation is not giving error, but when I click simulation option of VHDL toolbox, it gives status as "Status: waiting for command", what do I do next ? where will I find this information ?
