How can the contents of the rdb be loaded?
I had a ADEXL simulation crash and want to look at the scalar calculated results.
I couldn't open the rdb file with the ADE results browser.
I split your post from the thread because the forum guidelines tell you not to post on old threads (especially as this was only loosely related)
Please go to the history tab in your ADE XL view and do right mouse->view results over the history entry you wish to look at. This will open the rdb.
In reply to Andrew Beckett:
Sorry first posting, I'm not familiar with this forum's etiquette.
That worked thanks, except the virtuoso session crashes due to out of memory problem, which is why I thought just accessing the calculated scalar results alone would be more likely to work.
In reply to RobinJC:
For your information, the forum guidelines are the topmost thread in each of the forums - worth taking a look.
As for the memory issue, perhaps try running "virtuoso -64" to run in 64 bit mode?
64 bit mode fixed the out of memory crashing, and I managed to see my results.
My cadence crashed while trying to load results and the adexl view was corrupted.
I had to recreate the adexl view. But now I can not load the rdb files for all the previous runs even though they exists. I can load individual run data from the results browser but the previous runs do not show up in histroy.
is it possible to load the previous runs in history ?
In reply to debesh:
You might be able to get it to work by putting the rdb file into the right place in the results hierarchy, but I think this is not guaranteed to work. I'm not sure why the ADE XL view got corrupted - I wouldn't expect that during a crash.
Contacting customer support is your best option here. We might be able to figure out what is wrong and repair it, but most likely restoring from backups is your best bet.
Thanks for the reply.
I got it back by manually reentering a history entry in the sdb file. The rdb files were already there they just needed to be put in the sdb file.
