Importing Layout of PCB Tool in AWR for EM Simulation

The AWR design environment can directly import the layout geometry from commercial PCB EDA software for analysis with the EM simulation tools.

You can import the geometry from the PCB Import item under the Wizards node of the project browser.

From the PCB Import wizard dialog, you can walk through the setup to import (you should click on the Help button on each tab for more details).

Once the layout is imported, you can "clip" the area you want to simulate by using the PCB EM Setup wizard. You can select the geometry by net name or by layout.
