How to get interpolated data between the actual data points under an MDIF data file format

The variable value of an MDIF data file comes back as an index instead of the interpolated value. Is there a way I can interpolate data between indexes?

Enter Vd=2 or a higher number. The result comes back as an index instead of the attenuation value. If the variable set to 2 gives a 1dB result, 1dB is #2 in the index. Also, if Vd=7 or a higher number is entered, no value is returned, and no interpolation happens.

To achieve this, enable interpolation and enter any numeric value or assign to a variable and the results are interpolated between the actual data points.

1.  Change the interpolation settings globally by choosing Options > Project Options to display the Project Options dialog box. Select the Interpolation/Passivity tab and check the checkbox against Enable parameter interpolation.

2.  Enter Vd=7 or a higher number.

3.  You can achieve the same setting by doing the following steps:

       a)  Right-click the local data file and choose Options to display the Project Options dialog box.

       b)  Select the Interpolation/Passivity tab and ensure that the Use project defaults checkbox is cleared to allow you to select Enable parameter interpolation.
