Parallel Optimization in AWR MWO - Unable to connect to data source

Hi,

when trying to performe an optimization using parallel jobs (Num of Parallel Jobs > 4) the solver is unable to connect to data source. An Optimization with only one jobs is running without any problems.

Do you have any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Stefan

    Hi Stefan,

Are you trying to simulate on local or remote computer? May be if you are simulating on remote computer then please check if required licenses are checked or not.

    Regards,

    Santosh

    Hi Stefan,

The second error "Unable to connect to data source named" It seems the project is running with missing data file. The first error

Regarding optimization using parallel jobs issue Check the box to set the Options > Default Circuit Options > Job Scheduler > Simulate as AWRDE Server Job option. Also, set the Options > Default EM Options > Job Scheduler . Max Parallel Jobs Per Node to be as high as (or higher than) the number you are trying to use in the optimizer.

Also if you are using older version (V17.01, 17.02, etc.), try the project with the later version i.e. AWR v17.4. If still any issue comes up please email the project.

    Regards,
    Santosh
