Step-by-Step Guide to Download, Install, and Configure AWR Software Academic Trial Version

Registering for AWR Software Academic Trial Version

1.  To register for AWR Software academic trial version, visit the unified site for students and professionals:

2.  In this site, you will see the following page. Here, click the SELECT A TRIAL PATH

3.  Choose any of the trial path as per your requirement and click START TRIAL.

4.  After you click on Start Trial, it will take you the next page. If you are a student, then click for an academic subscription on this page. It will take you to the registration page, as shown below. Fill in all the details as required and select the required check boxes. Finally, click Submit.

You will see the following window:

5.  You will also receive an e-mail after registration after few minutes, as shown below. Click START TRIAL.

6.  You will see the following window. Read the content in the Cadence’s SAAS Services Terms and Conditions, including Addendum 2 (Academic Use Terms and Conditions) link and click Login to Try.

7.  Click Log In if you already have an account in the Cadence website and specify your details. If not, click Create an Academic Account.

You will see the following window that you can use to create an academic account.

8.  After specifying your details, click Continue. In the displayed window, enter the verification code, which is sent on your registered mail Id.

9.  You will then see the following window to create an academic account. Fill in all the credentials to complete the process of registration, and click Continue.

After clicking Continue, you can create your new password in the displayed window, as shown below:

10. After you click Create your Account, you will see the following window:

11.  Click Try now. This displays the following screenshot:

12.  Now, check your email. You will find this confirmation email, saying that your request is under process, as shown below:

13.  You will soon get an email with a link to download the Single-User license of Microwave Office Trial, as shown below. Click Download.

14.  It is important to view the licensing details by clicking on click here in the above snapshot, which takes you to the Entitlement Management System (EMS) web page. In this page, you can view your license details, such as license name, license type, status, product description, and License start date and end date. You can also view license ID, order ID and support ID by click on three dots. You can click the Product download link button to start installing Microsoft Office Trial. The license role is License End User, which is a type of role available in the EMS site.

15.  Now, download, install, and start the software. When you download, the .exe file is generated. Run the 04.000_wint_1of1.exe file for installing Cadence AWR Design Environment. You can see the following windows during this entire installation process:

16.  When you click the Close button (refer to the image above), you will see the following dialog box. Click OK.

17.  In the displayed AWR License Configuration dialog box, click the Configure button to display the License Configuration dialog box.

18.  In the License Configuration dialog box, select the Single User License Enter your Username and password, and then click Download. This starts downloading the license, as shown below:

19.  After successfully downloading the license, close all dialog boxes and restart AWR Software. This completes the process.

How Do I Get Technical Support?

For technical support, begin by searching the Cadence Learning and Support portal or contact universityprogram@cadence.com. You must log in using your Cadence account email address and password.

If you do not find an answer, you can search or post a question in the AWR Community Forum. Academic license holders are not eligible to file Support tickets.
