Power Amplifier Design Rapid Adoption Kit

AWR offers several tools to assist in the design of a power amplifier including load pull file generation wizard, load pull data analysis, matching circuit wizard, stability analysis and testbench projects for analyzing the results.

A new application note features the complete workflow for designing a power amplifier using the AWR Design Environment tools. The workflow starts with choosing bias conditions and designing the bias circuit. Next topic: generating load pull files using the newly introduced load pull wizard. Analyzing the load pull data with AWR's extensive graphical measurements dedicated to load pull is discussed next. The worflow then progresses to stability analysis measurements, then on to matching network design using a wizard dedicated to this topic. Final verification includes CW analysis as well as analysis using a digitally modulated source with emphasis on metrics such as EVM and ACPR.
