Black screen on AXIEM

TI202504016315

In my Windows10 desktop environment, EM Structure -> New EM Structure -> AXIEM gives black screen and I cannot see any shapes such as rectangles.

Does any body have the same issue?

Thanks.

To my knowledge, we don't have current reports of this behavior.

    A few questions:

    > What version of the program are you running?

    > Do your Environment Options (Options > Environment Options > Colors tab) settings look correct?

    > Is it just for AXIEM structures?  Or does it also happen for other kinds of structures (such as EMSight or Analyst or Clarity) as well?

    > Does this persist after a reboot or a repair install?

If this persists, I would encourage you to open a support case at support.cadence.com.  That way, we can get an AE started trying to troubleshoot this with you.

Many thanks. Somehow uploading my display screenshot fails, so I place it here.

As you can see in the screenshot, the AWRDE version is 24.1 and it says AXIEM, Analyst, and the other EM windows are blacked out, but Circuit Schematics shows correctly.

This picture was taken right after the re-installation, so all the settings are default.

Among my four Win10 machines, two show this black screen and the other two work well without this black screen.

    Best regards

This may be a monitor issue.

    Please try these things:

    1. Update your graphics drivers (they may be out of date).

    2. Turn off GPU acceleration, by going to Options > Environment Options > Project tab.  Toward the bottom of the dialog is a checkbox to enable/disable Graphics Acceleration.  Uncheck the box (for Enable 2D/3D layout view).  And I think just to make sure, you can restart the program with the new setting set.
