Removal of traces from legend AWR 24.1

Hello!
Is it possible to completely remove traces from the legend while the traces still remain in the graph?
I have thoroughly searched through the rectangular plot options without finding a solution. The best I have managed is removing the data and measurement names but the trace symbol remains, see screenshot. Image includes one trace which is named and one which is unnamed. I would like to have the symbol not appear in the legend at all.
I am using AWR 24.1 18.03 18789 Rev1.

There's probably not a use case for most people where they would need the name of the data but not the trace/symbol combination, and so I'm not aware of how you would specifically do that.

With that said, you do have the following options:

    1. Remove the entire Legend from view (Rectangular Plot Options > Format tab > Visible > Uncheck Legend

If you then still want text to indicate your measurement name or description, then:

    2. Insert text (Draw > Text, or alternatively Draw > Rich Text) to put onto the graph the text that it appears you do want.  The text won't be tied to the measurements and will not change update if you, for instance, use a different measurement.  But it is an option for you.

    3. You do have the option (in the Rectangular Plot Options > Traces tab) to choose only a line color and no symbol.  This would leave just the line next to the text.  It seems like this is not what you are requesting, but that is something you can do, if you find it helpful.

As I mentioned, this isn't a use case we see a lot.  Is there a specific reason you wish to show the measurement text but not the trace/symbol in the legend?

Thank you for your reply. I will explore the options you have suggested.

Perhaps there is another way to achieve what I want. I want to create a P1dB graph, output power as a function of input power with a line interpolated from the linear region of the curve and a marking for the 1dB compression point. Currently I have used output equations for the interpolation and then included that in the graph. The line is then included in the legend but I would prefer it wasn't (secondary issue is the inclusion of a singel point at P1dB, see my other post). I would include a screenshot to make it clearer but it seems I can't insert images. "An error occurred. Please try again or contact your administrator".

I guess one more thing to just get you a little closer to what you want (even though it's probably still not specifically what you are looking for):

You can put linear data into a data file and then use the PlotCol measurement to get linear data onto the graph.

You can also remove either the line or the symbol from both the measurement and the legend (again, I don't think you can remove it only in the legend) to make it appear a little bit less ubiquitous.

See attached screenshot below for a visual to go with these suggestions:

You can alternatively use Output Equations to get that linear line; it's a little more involved but certainly do-able.  If you want to go down that route, you can submit a support case and the AEs can give you a little more focused help.

Thank you once again! I think I will manage with the suggested solutions.
