How to convert Wire to a Geometric wire

Ferdz

It was requested that I should use "geometric wire" instead of "wire", problem is I was using "wire" for routing from the beginning it will be a lot of work wasted if i re-do the routing.

Is there a way or a script that converts wire to a geometric  wire?

 Please help.

regards,

Ferdz

    Ferdinand,

That's very strange you should not lose any object specially routing objects.
Can you please look at the log file and tell me if you have any warning or error related to these wires?

How do you import the OA data into EDI?
Design Import, Restore Design or OAIn?

    Thanks,
    Alex

    Ferdinand,

Based on your last reply when you said that some wire and vias have been removed or lost when loading in EDI.

You have to be very careful when you do some checking in EDI because you have different view modes:

    • Floorplan view: where the regular routing is not displayed, only special nets are displayed as well as instance (macro)
    • Amoeba view: placement view with modules display only
    • Physical view: all routing type and instances is displayed
Please check in Physical View if you missing routing wire are there or not.

    Thanks,
    Alex

    Hi Guys,

Using a newer version of EDI solves the issue of the missing analog wires/vias.

    Thanks.
