echo form fields selection to ciw

I remember having read that there was an option whether to echo the selected form fields to CIW. I am not able to find it now.

 Can anyone give me a hint about that?

Thanks!

     Thank you Bernd.

     I have seen Create Instance forms that do not echo in the CIW what field it selected and what value is unput to it and some that do echo it... And I have read something that made me think that this can be turned on and off somehow and was not related to the filter options for the cds.log file... I might be mistaken.

    Like when inputing "myLib" in a form field you get in the CIW:

    dummyForm->dummyField->value="myLib"

    Thanks !

     The log filter does not display the ddsServSelect information when selecting from the library browser window. The only time you get output to the CIW is when the name is typed into the form.

     Hi,

    Apart from the log filter, the only other thing I can think of is a field callback which will echo the field value to the CIW / log file. Apart from this, only the log filter will show form field changes for any DFII form, to my knowledge.  As Ted mentions, the Library Manager forms, for example, will not show field changes as the Library Manager is actually a separate process to DFII and it communicates with DFII.  The Hierarchy Editor is another tool in this category.

    Regards,

    Lawrence.

     Thank you Lawrence,

     I actually have a form with scroll regions in tab fields and on each selection, the whole form structure is printed into the CIW... Is there a way to stop it?

     I think I remember having read something on that subject, but can't find it now...

    Thanks!
