changing action of strokes

I recently figured out how to enable strokes in Virtuoso, and was wondering if there is a Skill function that will descend into a block that a given set of coordinates is contained within?  I searched the Skill help manual for "descend", but couldn't find any functions that do what I am describing.  How can I descend into a block using a downward mouse stroke whose endpoint is inside the block?

Also, is it possible to define new strokes?

     Hi,

There is a new executable "stroke_editor" in the IC612 release under the tools/bin directory. This is even implemented for the Linux platform.  It looks a little different to the original "sted" but it should read and write the same format def.strokes type of file.

Also, I tend to work with "infix" turned on, in this case, if you perform a stroke (e.g. draw a C for Copy) over the instance/item in question, the command should take the current stroke/cursor location as input for the command.

Anyway, good luck with "stroke_editor" - it should solve your problems!

     Regards,

    Lawrence.

Thanks for tip.  I was able to launch the stroke_editor application without any issues.
