How to get chainned transistor list?

azurelan

After running GEN From Source from VXL, the transistors are chainned and abutted. My question is how to get the chainned transistor list? For example, if you have five tansistors M1 to M5, M1 and M2 are chainned and M3, M4 and M5 are chainned, then how to get the list like:

list(

list("M1" "M2")

list("M3" "M4" "M5")

)

Another question is how to get the new area for the chainned transistors? For example, the new area for M1&M2 should be smaller than the area of M1 + area of M2.

Thanks!

     This is going to take some experimentation but I don't think there is anything which explicitly defines them as chained. This may change in IC614.

    Chained devices usually are abutted and therefore belong to abutment groups. You could trace the abutment group members and build the chain. I will look at that methodology as soon as I can as I am working on abutment issues.
