How to get width of a polygon?

Hello,

I've got a shape which is type polygon. In fact it is path, but after the extraction process in my SKILL data base structures it is recognized as a polygon. Now my question: is it possible to get a width of such a “path” which in fact is a polygon. I know that object path, has property width, but such a property doesn't have polygon. Correct me if I'm wrong but maybe, some cast from polygon to path would be possible... Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

ToM

This is the kind of thing QRC can do for you if extracting resistances - it can calculate the width of a parasitic resistor (useful if you want to then check electromigration, as is done in the Cadence VAVO tool).

Otherwise, I wrote some SKILL ages ago to convert a polygon back into a path. It's not pretty, but it works...

It's in sourcelink solution number  11037248

    Best Regards,

    Andrew.
