Virtuoso Analog Distributed Processing Option with SGE

Hello,

I am trying to setup an environment for Virtuoso Analog Distributed Processing Option with SGE (Sun Grid Engine).

We are using IC5141.

The reference manual that I have discuss about setting-up DP with LSF (Load Sharing Facility).

Is there such manual or tutorial on how to setup DP with SGE?

If there is none, does anybody have setup such environment?

Any help would be very much appriciated.

Thank you and best regards,

Gilbert

    Hi Gilbert,

There are a few SGE related solutions on SourceLink, for working with ADE, here are a few that might be useful:

    Solution 11488472

    Solution 11390852

    Solution 11513420

    Solution 11516678

I hope that at least one of these will be helpful to you.

    Regards,

    Lawrence.

Thank you very much, now I am able to use SGE from ADE and from command line via batch file.

My batch file includes changing of directory and executing spectre.

    example, queue.bat

    cd /home/SGE/test

    spectre simulationFile.spe > simulationFile.log

    Then I will comand;    :/> qsub queue.bat

In the manual, it discusses about simulating using in "Copy Mode".

It collects all files on the submitter's host to a temporary directory on the execution host, from where the job is run. The results are written to the this temporary directory and are then copied back to the submitter's run directory.

Is there a way to simulated like in "Copy Mode" using qsub in command line?

I think, maybe, it is only applicable in OCEAN.

About OCEAN, I can not simulate an ocean script when I include.... hostMode( 'distrubuted ).

I am also trying to use "artbatch" but it seems not for SGE. Is this correct?

Again, thanks a lot for the help.

    God bless.

    Gilbert

Does SGE supports simulation requests from OCEAN?

I am also trying to use "artbatch" but there is an error.

    Is "artbatch" executable with SGE?

    Have a nice day. :)

    God bless.

I'm sure searching for the numbers on http://support.cadence.com would have found them, but otherwise:

Solution 11488472 (this is obsolete so no longer on Cadence Online Support)

    Solution 11390852

    Solution 11513420

    Solution 11516678
