layer coordinates

How can I find the coordinates of a certain layer in my layout

by using SKILL ?

Any help are appreciated.

     Hi Giuseppe,

    Do you mean the coordinates of each shape on a specific layer purpose pair?

    If this is the case then you would find the appropriate layer-purpose pair object and then iterate over the shapes of that, if a polygon simply write the points, if a rectangle then derive the points (a "rect" is defined by its bBox which is only two points, lower left and upper right), and if antoher shape, say a path, do what? For a path the points could be derived also, though you might need to take account of the path end style (flush, extend etc.)

    Can you clarify what you are looking for exactly?
