The problems probably all stem from having an old .cdsinit or .cdsenv file.

The first is probably because there's some SKILL code in there which is trying to invoke some schematic function, which is causing it to try to check out a license. If it can't get either Virtuoso_Schematic_Editor_L or XL licenses, then the chances are your licenses have not been updated to reflect the new products.

cdsSpice, spectreS and hspiceS are no more - hence errors for those - but these would probably only appear if there are some envLoadVals() calls or envLoadFile() calls in your .cdsinit. And some out of date .cdsenv files.

That appears to be the major problem you're seeing. I can't open the doc you uploaded (for some reason, the web site is giving an error), so I'm not sure precisely which version you're using - hopefully it will be an IC613 hotfix, because IC610 itself is not recommended or even supported any more. Not that these errors have anything to do with that.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

You could try running "virtuoso -nocdsinit" to see how that behaves...

I cannot download the attachment to view it.  However, it appears that the above messages are due to Library Manager customization (in a cdsLibMgr.il file) which probably redefines the Create New Lib function to call the "libManCreateLib" function which needs to be defined in the DFII (Virtuoso) session.  Since I cannot see the other messages I will not speculate any further than this.

    Regards,

    Lawrence.

A ticket has been filed internally in Cadence for this attachment problem since more than one user has problems accessing the attachment.

    Hi,

I am facing the same problem while creating new library in IC-5141. I am getting the following error message:

*Error* eval: undefined function - libManCreateLib
    <<< Stack Trace >>>
    libManCreateLib("cdkCreateNewLib" "" "" "" "" ... )
    (... in ddsiLMCEval ...)
    (... in ddsLMCMenuItem ...)
    ddsLMCMenuItem(1 "cdkCreateNewLib" "libManCreateLib" ("" "" "" "" ""))

Can  you tell what you did to fix your problem?

    Thanks a ton!

We have a Cadence Online Support Solution on this. However, it just gives tips on how to debug it. I see from all the service requests attached to this that everyone who has this issue seems to have been using the NCSU libraries. Can't really debug it (don't have the bandwidth to do this), but perhaps you can either create a service request with Cadence Support, or contact NCSU?

    Regards,

    Andrew.
