Cross probing Layout and Schematic

Is there any option in Virtuoso 6.1 to do cross probing between schematic and layout?

or any skill code to do cross probing is available?

Regards,

Are you using Layout XL? If so, this will happen by default - selection in one view will select in the other.

If the layout is not XL based (i.e. not connectivity based), then it's not clear what cross-probing would mean.

So perhaps you need to clarify your requirements...

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    • I'm not working on Virtuoso XL, it is an editor hence I need connectivity between schematic and layout.
    • It will help me to resolve the LVS related issues.
    Thanks,

Often LVS tools will let you cross probe between layout and schematic - for example, Assura does this, and I believe the Mentor Calibre interface does this.

Without Virtuoso XL (a connectivity driven layout tool) or an LVS tool to do this, how would it know which shapes in the layout correspond to those wires in the schematic?

    Regards,

    Andrew.
