rexmatch - retrieving values

I am using rexMatchp to get a value from a cell name.

cell_name = "AN2X2"

rexMatchp("^.*X\\([0-9]*\\)$" cell_name)     --> t

How do I get the value stored in the register \( ...\)? Basically, I need to extract the 2 after AN2X in the cell name. In Perl this would be equivalent to the $1 variable, what is it in SKILL?

Thanks
