perform SKILL functions in command line mode

 Hi, I have a question on how to perform SKILL functions in command line mode. Can anyone help?

What I want to do is to

(1) start cadence with no GUI (I heard the -nog option but I cannot find any example)

(2) perform a series of SKILL function (defined in a do file) such as making a copy of cells in a given library

(3) quit cadence

 Thanks for your time and help!

     Hi, is it possible to select all the instances in a cellview opened in this manner, i.e without opening the cellview in a window?

    I won't answer this here as I see you then did the right thing and posted a new thread.

    Andrew.

    Hi,

    I'd like some help with an ocean script. I want to perform monteCarlo simulation, put an horizontal marker in the graph generated and perform the procedure: Marker-> Show Table -> (save values displayed in the table in a file).

     So far I can already put the horizontal marker in the graph, but couldn't find in Ocean manual a way to perform the last procedure. What is the command for this task?

    Below you can find part of my script.

    Kind regards,

    monteRun()

    selectResults('tran)

    newWindow()
    addTitle( "WindowsTitle")
    plot(v("OUT1"))
    plot(v("OUT2"))

    ;Insert horizontal markers in voltage 1.65V
    awvPlaceYMarker(currentWindow() 1.65)

    It would be nice to see a 'true' command line tools. The -nograph option sometimes has fatal X IO errors, particularly if we need to run virtuoso numerous times such as in a regression test.

    Depending on what you're doing, there are some purely non-graphical cut-down versions of the tools (e.g. dbAccess). I don't know which version you're using, but it should be pretty robust in versions over the last few years. Either way, "nice to see" on an old thread (or even a new thread) in the community forums isn't going to get an enhancement request filed - you'd need to go to customer support for that.

    Thanks for the tip. I was unaware of dbAccess. As far as 'nice to see', I was not expecting that to be taken as a formal request but your suggestion might meet my needs anyway. Apologize for resurrecting an old thread. It came up in a google search and I ran with it without checking the date. I've been accused or running into walls also. Cheers,
