flattening only specific geometries

I would like to flatten multiple levels of hierarchy but for only geometries that are on a specific layer? For instance, if at toplevel, I would like to pull all of the 'M1 drawing' layers from any cell in the hierarchy and make it part of the toplevel.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Not sure how this post works exactly. I thought my edits would be visible to everyone but doesn't seem to be. I copied my notes below.

    I found a work-around with Solution ID: 11561834
If anybody already has a solution for the original request, I would be happy to have it; otherwise, this request can be considered closed.

Look also at solution 11328674. Apologies for the delay - I needed to re-publish the solution because of some formatting changes required during the migration from Sourcelink to Cadence Online Support.

    Best Regards,

    Andrew.
