Hi,

Iam trying to write skill for changing the libname, cellname and viewname of an instance in layout. the flow would look something like below

1) when u key SHIFT+ t in ur layout u get a tree form from which u select a top to bottom information of the instances in that layout.

2) according to this information i need to create a user defined form that contains a browse button to select/change the current instance to other instances. (this is similar to invoke the library manager )

3) so the final thing when set ok by selecting the libname, cellname and viewname in the user defined form the changes should be reflected on the current layout.

i think this program would help a lot of people who work on similar kind of layouts. this can help save time in floorplanning.

thankyou

regards

VAKA

    Andrew,

Is there a (one-step) way to do this with symbols in Composer?

To remaster all symbols like we can remaster all instances in Virtuoso?
