how to creat CDF parameter for DMOS in ic5141

i have a technology file which DMOS defines as

xm1 dm gm sm bm mn40vbn  w=20e-6 l=1.2e-6 count=1

i can't creat the parameter 'count'  in netlist using analog enviroment.

How do i ?

Thanks

    Your question is very unclear.

If this is a primitive device, you could use Tools->CDF->Edit CDF and specify the parameters you want to netlist in the approate simulation information section. You'd want to make sure it's a stopping view (assuming that it is a primitive) by creating a stopping view (typically the name of the simulator interface, e.g. hspiceD, spectre, etc) which is a copy of the symbol view.

If it's not a stopping view and there's a (say) schematic underneath, then provided that the underlying schematic has an instance which has a property which uses pPar("count") then it should get netlisted at the parent level.

    Andrew.

    Very thanks !

The question is I add a parameter "count", but it disappear in netlist when export the netlist in cadence analog enviroment.

    Here HspiceS is used.

First of all, hspiceS is obsolete (it has been obsolete for many years, and in fact no longer exists in releases after IC5141). You should move to hspiceD if possible.

Anyway, if you want a parameter to get netlisted directly using hspiceS, you need to:

    1. Add a CDF parameter called macroArgumentStyle with value "hspiceS". In fact any value other than "default" will do. This tells it to pass the parameter directly, rather than using the cdsSpice socket approach
    2. List the parameters you want to netlist in the macroArguments field in the hspiceS simInfo in the CDF. So list count in that field.

There is a little coverage of this in the <ICinstDir>/doc/anasimhelp/anasimhelp.pdf document. Unfortunately most of the solutions on Cadence Online Support related to this have been retired (and removed) due to the hspiceS interface being end-of-lifed.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
