IC6 Menu & Error

Hello,

I recently installed the ic6.1.3 on a centos 64 bit machine and I have noticed that whenever I create a schematic and run ADE, the menu of the schematic editor disappears and it is not redrawn even when I exit the ADE. I really have to reopen the schematic in a new tab just to have the menu.

Is there a way to overcome this behavior?

Moreover when I open the schematic editor I get the following error on the CIW:

"*Error* eval: unbound variable - not_a_menuUT"

What is the meaning of it?

Thanks in advance,

Thodoros

    Hi Thodoros,

The name "not_a_menuUT" does not appear in any of our problem databases so I surmise that this is coming from some local customization of your Cadence tools.  Also, given the description, it sounds as though there is a trigger set up so that when ADE is started, a menu is added to the schematic through a user post install trigger.  Can you please check for any .cdsinit file or libInit.il file (in a library) that might be performing such customization, it may help to figure out what is happening. Most likely you would find the "
not_a_menuUT" string in one such file.

    Regards,

    Lawrence.
