Hi, All! I am using CADENCE IC514 version. I would like move a rect/polygon by passing three arguments i.e cellID, source point, destination Point. Can someone guide me in this way...! Regards... Prabhakar. K --- ICL Engineer SoCtronics

    Try:

    dbMoveFig(
    d_fig
    d_cellView
    [ l_transform ]
    )
    => d_fig / nil

    Moves and transforms a figure and places it in a cellview.

    It doesn't use a "source point" and "destination point". The transform is a list that inludes x, y and rotation. Essesntially, you would specify the delta x and delta y and a rotation to apply.

    To move a shaped stored in the varible shp 10 microns to the right and 5 microns up:
    dbMoveFig(shp geGetEditCellView() list(10.0:5.0 "R0"))

    If you want a user to enter a source and destination point, you'll have to write your own skill wrapper using an enter function like enterPoints that gets the info and determines the delta x and delta y which are then passed to dbMoveFig.

    Hi, Derek,
                    Thank you very much for your valuable suggestion. So, inorder to fullfill my intention I wrote the below one.....
    procedure(move_shape(cv shape spt dpt)
        dbMoveFig(shape cv list(nth(0 dpt)-nth(0 spt):nth(1 dpt)-nth(1 spt) "R0"))
    );move_shape
    ...And it is working for me...

    Thank you very much once again....
