Window Placement

Hi,

I want to know the rules behind the rules of the Window Placement .

There is a function that allows the user to configure the layout of the window (sch or lay) at the screen.

function :
envSetVal("layoutXL"        "schematicWindow" 'string  "((400.0 300.0) (1100.0 1100.0))")
envSetVal("layoutXL"        "layoutWindow"    'string  "((1200.0 300.0) (2000.0 1100.0))")

My questions are:
Where is the Axis???
Could you please explain this fuction...

Thanks,

Roi.

    Hi Roi,

These cdsenv settings are to allow Virtuoso Layout XL to auto-place the schematic and layout windows when you enable Layout XL. 0:0 is the lower left corner of the screen.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Roi,

The order is the same as for every other bounding box in the Cadence IC tools. - i.e. lowerLeft followed by upperRight. However, it shouldn't matter which way around you specify them - it would figure it out when the window is placed.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
