Skill function to display cellview

rdohanyos

I am trying to write something so that I can hit a bindkey when an instance is selected and it will open that instance in a seperate window in read mode. What function can I use to display that cellview in its own window? I tried dbOpenCellviewByType and all that does is return a dbId. I'm sure there is a simple answe, I just can't find it.

thanks

Robert

    Try this:

    deOpenCellView(
    t_libName
    t_cellName
    t_viewName
    t_viewType
    g_winSpec
    t_accessMode
    )
    => w_windowId / nil

    Opens an existing cellview in a window.

    Here is an example:
    deOpenCellView("myLib" "myCell" "schematic" "schematic" list(list(0 0) list(500 500)) "r")

    The g_winSpec can also be nil and it will work just fine.
