How to write skill for getting cap cdf information from net connections

I am trying to write a skill routine that would take three gates (one inverter driving two inverters) and seek out the net name that connects the three gates, get the Input cap from the receiving two inverters and added to the output cap from the inverter driver as part of fanout calculation.  The input and output caps are already cdf properties contained in each of the gate symbols.  What is the best way to approach this problem?  Eventually I would expand this program to handle different gates/hierarchy.

Thanks for any help!
