help on Layer operation command

 Hi evryone,

I am trying to do an AND operation between two layers and one posibility is that the other layer could be in a lower hierarchy of the layout.

I have already tried to use leLayerAnd and dbLayerAnd but they both can't operate with layers on different hierarchy. I tried also to use dbGetOverlaps but I got only a nested list and not an output drawing in my cellview. I am making the skill for IC5.1.41

Is there anyone who knows a work-around procedure?

    Hi Irlsk

Please see COS solution 11237840 for a script on hierarchical layer operations.

    Best regards

     Hi Quek,

Thanks again for your fast reply. I will try it out today. I'm sure it will be Ok since it must be around for sometime already.

     best regards,  -lrlsk

    Hi Quek

I have tried already the solution from your post but there is a minor issue that I have encountered. The one with UI works perfectly but the other method (calling the procedure with arguments in skill) seems not.

Anyway, I think I can already do something out from it, since I also need to change the procedure to apply only within a specified bBox.

    Many thanks again.
