Capturing position in the hierarchy

I have a bindkey Alt-E that does a Return to Top. However, before I return to top, I want to save my position in the hierarchy somewhere, so that I can then do a Ctrl-Alt-E (define another bindkey) to take me back to the cellview I was viewing last.

Is there any way to accomplish this?

Thanks

     Thanks Lawrence,

I try that, I get something like

    geEnvironmen:2:3

How can I use that to go to an arbirary node in the hiearchy?

    Thanks!
