schematic in read mode but layout in edit mode

custom

First off, I am using Virtuoso 6.1.3 and 6.1.4 Layout Editor.

I have a coworker that would like to open a schematic in the library manager in read only mode with the double click of the mouse. However, he would like to open a layout view with the same double click of the mouse.(This is defaulted)

Is there a way to do this?

 thanks, Mark

     Hi Mark,

You could take a look at my Solution 11105612  as a starting place - you could customize the Library Manager so that the function CCSopenReadOnly is called for a schematic and another function is called for a layout.  You could then have just one "Open" item in the Library Manager.  However, I don't think that you can change the action associated with double-click, but you might disable double-click so that only the menu items can be used?  Here is the relevant .cdsenv setting:

    cdsLibManager.main              dblClickEditCellView    boolean  nil

I hope this helps you a little.

    Regards,

    Lawrence.
