Hi everyone, I am facing a problem with changing the cellName of any Instance. Say I have selected "via12" in the layout. Now I use - ab=css() name=ab~>cellName now the cell name is "via12" say I want to change it to "via23" name="via23" ab~>cellNme=name this is not working. It is saying that this attribute cant change. for this reason I have to delete the "via12" and create "via23" having similar property. is there any way I can change the via12 to via23 without deleting and creating , with the help of changing the cellName ?

If this is for IC5141, vias are instances, and so you would use ab~>master=newMaster (where newMaster has been opened with dbOpenCellViewByType(), say).

If in IC61, you may find Solution 11437370 useful.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
